A Quick Stop at the Fudge Farm

Located on the waterfront in Homestead, Pennsylvania is a little shop filled with fudge, chocolates galore, and, of course, milkshakes! Recently, my boyfriend and I had to drive out to Virginia for work, and we stopped here along the way. It smelled amazing as we walked in. Then, we had to decide what milkshakes to get; there were about 15 different varieties! Jace decided on a chocolate peanut butter shake, while I went with the Finn McCool (mint chocolate chip).

The mint milkshake was good. Not great, not bad, just good. It was topped with a large brownie served warm, which was disappointing. The brownie was oddly rubbery and chewy, and did not make the best addition to the shake. The milkshake itself was much better. The mint chocolate chip ice cream was pretty standard. However, there were little crunchy chocolate cookie pieces blended in that added a great texture to the shake. I wish the shake was a bit thicker, but overall I don't have too many complaints.

The other milkshake was noticeably better. I believe the milkshake was called Rugger's Pub, and was a s'mores inspired milkshake with peanut butter added. The flavors, textures, and sweetness were all very balanced. The marshmallow on top was delicious and tasted quite fresh. The shake itself mainly tasted like peanut butter, but had tiny chocolate peanut butter candies mixed in, which was fun. There was also graham cracker crumbs sprinkled on top that added a perfect change every few sips.

Overall, the shakes were good! It was a nice stop on our long road trip, and for the price, the milkshakes were worth it. There are a few locations in Pennsylvania, so if you are in the area I recommend checking them out!
