My Favorite Milkshake (Ever!)

Sometimes, the simpler the shake, the better. That is certainly true for my favorite shake of all time. My tried and true favorite milkshake is the Chocolate Cake Shake from Portillos. I discovered this shake years ago, and I fell in love. It is my go to when I have had a bad day, want to celebrate a victory, or am just craving something sweet. The milkshake is just ice cream and a full slice of Portillos homemade chocolate cake and blended together into a cold, crumbly masterpiece.
Last month, I was travelling with my boyfriend for work and we had the chance to stop in Chicago. After some deep dish pizza, we popped over to Portillos for a delicious dessert. I have had many of these shakes in my day, and this one certainly did not dissapoint. The thickness is undeniable. You are served with a straw and a spoon, and you need both. Once you drink your way to the bottom, there is treasure to be discovered. Chunks of cake and thick chocolate frosting stick to the bottom to be dug out as a final hurrah.
It may not be the most aesthetic looking shake, but you really can't go wrong if you are a fan of chocolate. I will return to this milkshake again and again and again.
