The Shake That Started It All

Two years ago, I turned twenty. I was craving a special treat that would satisfy my ultimate sweet tooth. I began Googling and researching the best "crazy" and "most Instagramable" milkshakes in my area; I didn't have high hopes. What I found came as a surprise: Zuzu in the Hotel Valley Ho, located in Scottsdale, AZ. Zuzu was an elevated, trendy restaurant that caught my eye because of their dessert section. Listed was a "Showstopper Shake" that changed every month. I headed to their Instagram page to check out the flavor for March. It was the Ultimate Cookies and Cream milkshake. I was so excited to try it out for myself.

The shake was served on its own tray, and was bursting with goodies. The cold glass was coated in a hard candy, and the milkshake itself was topped with a homemade giant sandwich cookie. It was huge, and I loved it. After that shake was placed in front of me, I knew I had to try more like it.

It has been over two years since I had my first Showstopper Shake, and I have had a few more exceptional milkshakes since then. A few friends had mentioned in the past that I should start a milkshake blog, and the idea always secretly excited me. I've decided to dive in and start it up. This blog, for now, will be dedicated to reviewing milkshakes from all over. Maybe as time goes on I will expand to other sweet treats or even add my own milkshake recipes, but I'd like to keep it simple at the start.
